Now that the details have been finalized, I can announce that a new SSIS class coming up this fall. My Linchpin People cohort Andy Leonard and I will be delivering our Advanced SSIS training class in the Washington, DC area in December. This class is four days in length, ideally suited for experienced SSIS developers who want to take their skills up a notch. Andy and I did this same class in Dallas earlier this year, where it was a big hit.
Registration for this class is open now. Among the topics we’ll be covering:
- Data flow internals
- Performance design patterns
- Learning how to fail properly
- Security in SSIS
- Deployment design patterns
- Data quality
- Metadata management patterns
- Biml
- Known limitations of SSIS, and workarounds for them
- ETL data edge cases
These advanced SSIS classes are very interactive and full of demos, with plenty of time for questions. We’ll bring the coffee, snacks, and lunches.
For full details, check out the registration link above. As always, let me know if you have questions.
[Edit: This post originally included an earlier class in the Atlanta area, which has been cancelled.]
